Our wanderlust highlights

A crush called Vietnam

ROBINSON NAM HOI AN is our newest Far East oasis – and a place that immediately enchants Asia lovers.

Here, singing bowls meet lotus blossoms. Buddha statues meet lemongrass. And we meet club director Okan, who tells us what makes Vietnam and our new club a must-visit.

Where days start golden

ROBINSON NAM HOI AN is our invitation to experience the country with all your senses.

Okan

Club Director ROBINSON NAM HOI AN

Hello Okan. You are surrounded by the magic of ROBINSON NAM HOI AN every day. What makes it so special?

Honestly? First and foremost it’s the people! The Vietnamese are incredibly friendly and great hosts. In addition, there is the incredible nature and our fantastic, kilometer-long sandy beach right in front of the club. And then, of course, Vietnamese cuisine! The aromas, the freshness – it’s an experience in itself.

Okans secret places

Tea House

A small bridge leads to the Tea House – and straight to yourself. It is a place of calm and slow movements. Some of our mindfulness courses take place here.

Organic Garden

A little paradise is hidden in the middle of the club: full of lemongrass, mint and tropical fruit. On garden tours, you can discover what grows here – and why it is so delicious.

Body&Mind level

A unique place for yoga and meditation – right on the beach.Simply magical, especially for sunrise yoga.

If you had to name three highlights – what should no guest miss?

A dinner in our specialty restaurant is a must. The flavors are simply heavenly.

Then don’t miss the Sunrise Walk to the local fish market. Early in the morning, we walk along the beach straight into authentic market life. The real Vietnam can be found there – followed by a small breakfast at our beach bar.
And: If you really want to take something home with you, you should take part in one of our Vietnamese cooking courses. Cooking couldn’t be more authentic!

14 kilometers of pure beach bliss

ROBINSON NAM HOI AN is located directly on Tam Tien Beach – one of the longest stretches of undeveloped coastline in central Vietnam.

TOP excursion tip: HOI AN City

An absolute highlight during the day …

Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the day, life pulsates here – between historic facades and colorful markets.

… and even more so in the evening.

When the sun goes down, Hoi An is transformed into a flickering sea of color – between street music and the aroma of street food.

A quick word about the travel season: what do you recommend to guests and what about the rainy season?

The months from March to May are simply fantastic here. The weather is perfect then: pleasantly warm, sunny and with little rain. Ideal for excursions, a bike ride through the rice fields or relaxing on the beach.

But I also think the rainy season has its very own magic. When a gentle mist lies over the rice fields, nature shines in lush green and the wildlife is more active. Then there is a relaxed calm in the club.

Your temple of well-being

Whether relaxing in the WellFit Spa or enjoying our restaurants.

“In Vietnam, spices and herbs are more than just accessories – they give the dishes soul.”

OKAN

Club Director ROBINSON NAM HOI AN

Strength lies in diversity

Every day at ROBINSON NAM HOI AN is different. But always full of Vietnamese flair.

Your guide through the land of dragons

Are you ready for gigantic Buddha statues and walks through rice fields? But still have a few small question marks?

No problem, we’ll give you the most important answers – with a smile, of course.

“Isn’t there a rainy season? When should I go?”

“What are the absolute highlights on site?”

OUR JOURNEY "DISCOVER VIETNAM" REVEALS THEM TO YOU

The ROBINSON round trip “Discover Vietnam” is our personal best-of. In six days you will experience the real, colorful, fragrant, amazing Vietnam. This tour is like a diary that writes itself.

Day 1: Wall art and rice paper

The mural painting village of Tam Thanh is more than just colorful – it tells stories on every façade. Afterwards, there are interesting insights into rice paper production and a fish sauce factory where women have been working with dedication for generations.

Day 2: Architecture that grows into the clouds

You become very small in the Ba Na Hills. The Golden Bridge spans the valley, supported by giant hands. There are also caves and spectacular Buddha statues to marvel at in the Marble Mountains.

Day 3: Hello Hoi An

The old town of Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. No wonder! You stroll through narrow alleyways full of history, cross the famous Japanese bridge, visit markets and the Tan Ky House.

Day 4: ROBINSON NAM HOI AN

A day off is a must. Time to enjoy your own personal club highlight. How about a Body&Mind course, a round of padel or simply lying on the miles of sandy beach?

Day 5: The shadow of history

Vietnam shows its serious, deeply moving side here. The Ky Ahn tunnel is a reminder of the country’s war-torn past. And the strength of cohesion.

Day 6: On the trail of the gods

Ancient bricks, covered in moss and reclaimed by the jungle. The My Son sanctuary comprises several Hindu temples that tell of the former Champa empire.

“How do I behave respectfully in Vietnam?”

Shoes must remain outside

Before you enter a house, a temple or sometimes just a store, it’s time to take off your shoes.

A smile says more than 1,000 words

Vietnam speaks many languages – but everyone understands the smile. It’s a greeting, an apology, a thank you and small talk all in one.

Less skin is more

Showing too much skin is considered disrespectful in Vietnam – especially in sacred places. So please cover your shoulders and knees.

The head is sacred

… and not the feet. So please don’t pat heads – not even children’s heads. And don’t point your feet at people or holy things.

A few small dos & don’ts

Vietnam is not a country of strict rules, but one of fine gestures. If you are polite, open and respectful, you will be greeted with a smile wherever you go.

“What absolutely has to go in the suitcase?”

You don’t need a suitcase full of “what-ifs”. Vietnam is uncomplicated – but a few essentials are still an advantage.

Your Vietnam packing list:

Headgear against the tropical sun

Airy clothing that covers shoulders and knees (for villages and temples)

Sunscreen & mosquito repellent (DEET)

Lightweight rain jacket for short showers

Sturdy shoes (for excursions and temples)

And what else?

Thailand off the beaten track

LEA

ROBINSON TRAVEL EXPERT

Thailand is like a treasure map – and ROBINSON KHAO LAK is the X on the map.

From here we set off for hidden waterfalls, whispering temples and boat trips into the mangroves.

Our club is the springboard for anyone who wants to discover Thailand on their own. Our travel expert Lea has tried it out.

Hi Lea. You explored Thailand for yourself from ROBINSON KHAO LAK. What immediately fascinated you?

Without a doubt: the beach! The vastness, the light, the tranquillity – almost like a painting. And if you stroll through the club, you’ll find little green oases everywhere. That’s where the discovery began for me.

Surprises are waiting everywhere

The club beach is perfect for spontaneous discovery tours – even if they only lead to the next bend in the palm trees.

“The bay looks like a movie set. And yet it’s real.”

LEA

ROBINSON TRAVEL EXPERT

But you were also drawn out of the club. What did you experience?

Exploring the surrounding area is a real experience. I drove through small villages, past palm groves and hidden beaches. Stopping spontaneously in between to discover a temple or eat in a food stall where only locals sit. This is what the real Thailand feels like.

A world of fruits, colors and surprises

The real Thailand doesn’t wait in brochures – it unfolds on paths that wander off the map.

“My tip for explorers: hire a scooter! Renting is super easy right at the club.”

LEA

ROBINSON TRAVEL EXPERT

WHAT’S WAITING BEYOND THE CLUB? HERE ARE LEA’S FAVORITE PLACES.

a little relaxation in between?

“The treatments take place in small, almost temple-like pavilions.
The WellFit Spa at ROBINSON KHAO LAK offers a very special atmosphere.

The treatments are also available for couples in one room.
ROBINSON KHAO LAK

“The variety of Asian dishes is impressive.
The daily buffets in the Club are a feast for foodies – fresh and authentic.

For those who like it particularly spectacular: the flames blaze right in front of your plate in the Teppanyaki specialty restaurant.

“Barefoot along the beach – that was pure relaxation.
At ROBINSON KHAO LAK, even a walk feels like meditation.

The endless beach, the vastness, the soft light – here you re-discover yourself.

What impressions still stay with you today?

The sunsets have literally burned themselves into my memory – different every day and always spectacular.

What really touched me was the Thai welcome. The “Wai”, this simple, sincere gesture in which the palms of the hands are placed together in front of the chest. A small ritual that immediately creates a bond.

A beautiful souvenir

"I often saw these frangipani flowers floating in the pool – I just had to take one home with me as a hair clip."

“The club was my retreat. And my springboard.”
